We were hungry, sleepy, jet lagged, and tired from the long flight, but that didn’t stop us from exploring after we got settled in our hotel, Mamaison Hotel and Residences.
Charles Bridge was just across the street of the hotel, so we decided to head that direction and search for some local food. We found U Karlova Musto, dined al fresco, and enjoyed the magnificent view of the Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, and Charles Bridge across the Vltava river.
Our first meal in Prague was satisfying. My wife and I ordered their local dishes. I had the grilled sausage paired with Kozel, one of their local lager. Lanie ordered the duck confit with potato dumplings and sauerkraut. We ordered Liam chicken pasta, something he’s familiar with and that he will eat for sure. We enjoyed all of it.
Full and a lot more energized from the delicious meal, we started exploring around Charles Bridge.
There were tourists, street/bridge performers, caricature artists, and vendors. It was a little overwhelming given that we just arrived from a long flight, so we shied away from the crowd and walked down the quieter streets.
We decided to stroll back to the hotel when the sun started to set. The golden rays of the sun hit the buildings beautifully. It sure was a nice way to end our first day of adventure in the city of Prague.

Been waiting months for these. Glad to see the first day up, it’s good reminiscing 😉 thank you, love.
