Aside from food, shopping was on my wife’s mind on the 4th day of our adventures in the city of Prague. Therefore, the obvious place to start our day is nowhere else but in Parižska. Translation? The Paris Street. No further explanation necessary.
We walked up north from our hotel towards the tail end of Paris Street, where we started our sight seeing. We strolled around Josefov Jewish Quarter and continued down the street towards Old Town Square. We stopped by stores for window shopping until my wife found one of her favorite stores.
It was already lunch time when we reached the Old Town Square. So, we decided to find a cafe in the square to have drinks and light fare. One of my favorite travel activity. Just relaxing, drinking, people watching, and enjoying quality time with my family, all the while in one of the exotic cities of the world.
Tummies filled and thirsts quenched, we continued our stroll to find the Powder Gate and the Municipal House, and had another long leisurely walk towards the Wenceslas Square before reaching the National Museum. We passed by many shops and local street vendors. We couldn’t resist but have another light snack in between the strolls.
It was getting little late, so we walked back towards the Old Town Square. There, we found the Indian Restaurant that we saw during our city tour. We had a quite disappointing dinner the night before, and Indian food is something we were familiar with and were sure to enjoy! Their dishes were prepared differently from what we are accustomed to. Later, we were told by the owner that they adjust their recipes to satisfy the locals taste buds. Ours were delighted.
Before calling it a day, we passed by the square once again. There were more performers that time, so we decided to linger a little while. Liam enjoyed the acrobatic male strip tease performer the most, because the performer was able to take most of his clothes off while balancing on two sticks, holding his body up, with his hands, and ended up just wearing his funny underwear. Am sure my wife, along with the other women, loved the show too.
